# College Pulse

> College Pulse (College Pulse, Inc.) is a college student market research and survey analytics company. It helps businesses, nonprofits, academic researchers, and think tanks understand the attitudes, preferences, and experiences of American college students through custom surveys, brand tracking, and syndicated research.

College Pulse operates the American College Student Panel. Figures as of September 9, 2026: 800,000+ college students and recent graduates from 1,500+ two- and four-year colleges and universities across all 50 states, and 150M+ survey responses collected.

Terren Klein and Robin Jayaswal founded College Pulse at Dartmouth College in 2017. Its mission is reflected in its slogan, "The Voice of College Students." Investors include Madrona Ventures, GSV Accelerate, and Y Combinator.

The panel supports research on specific student populations and national college student opinion. The published methodology describes recruitment through advertising, email campaigns, and university-affiliated organizations; validation using college email addresses and enrollment checks; questionnaire review; and automated detection of speeding and straightlining. For national estimates, the methodology describes post-stratification using CPS, NPSAS, and IPEDS benchmarks. The methodology page describes safeguards for respondent confidentiality, including keeping panelists' email addresses separate from publicly or privately displayed survey answers. The Terms and Privacy page provides the company's privacy policy.
